Time Tracker Pro is designed with your privacy as a top priority. All your data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to any external servers.
1. Information We Collect
Time Tracker Pro collects and stores the following information locally on your device only:
- Browsing Time Data: Time spent on websites, categorized by domain
- Visit Counts: Number of visits to each website
- User Preferences: Your settings, limits, goals, and productivity classifications
- Productivity Scores: Calculated scores based on your browsing patterns
✅ What We DON'T Collect
We do NOT collect: personal information, browsing history content, passwords, form data, or any data from the pages you visit. We do NOT track your identity or link data to you personally.
2. How We Use Information
The locally stored data is used exclusively to:
- Display time tracking statistics in the extension popup
- Calculate productivity scores and trends
- Enforce time limits and website blocking
- Generate weekly analytics and reports
- Provide Pomodoro timer functionality
3. Data Storage & Security
All data is stored using Chrome's local storage API (chrome.storage.local). This means:
- Data never leaves your device
- Data is not synced to any cloud service
- Data is not accessible to other extensions or websites
- Data is automatically deleted when you uninstall the extension
4. Data Retention
By default, Time Tracker Pro retains your browsing data for 90 days. You can:
- Change the retention period in Settings (30 days to 1 year)
- Export your data at any time (JSON or CSV format)
- Clear all data manually from the Settings page
5. Permissions Explained
Time Tracker Pro requires the following permissions:

6. Third-Party Services
Time Tracker Pro does NOT use any third-party services, analytics, or tracking. The extension operates entirely offline and does not make any network requests.
7. Children's Privacy
Time Tracker Pro does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age. The extension does not collect personal information from any user.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
9. Your Rights
You have complete control over your data:
- Access: View all your data in the extension popup and settings
- Export: Download your data as JSON or CSV
- Delete: Clear all data from the Settings page
- Uninstall: Removing the extension deletes all stored data
